University of Benin (UNIBEN) Academic Calendar for the Completion of First (1st) & Second (2nd) Semester Academic Activities for 2020/2021 Academic Session [PROPOSED].
The Management of the University of Benin, UNIBEN has released the proposed academic calendar for the first and second semester academic activities for the 2020/2021 academic session.

FIRST SEMESTER

  • 02/08/2021 – 04/08/2021 – Virtual Orientation for fresh Students
  • 06/08/2021 – Virtual Matriculation Exercise for fresh Students
  • 08/08/2021 – Fresh Students come into Halls of Residence
  • 09/08/2021 – Online clearance/registration for fresh students
  • 15/08/2021 – Old Students come into halls of residence
  • 16/08/2021 – 03/09/2021 – Registration of Courses and payment of School Charges begins and closes on Friday 3rd September, 2021 (Three weeks)
  • 23/08/2021 – First Semester Lectures begin for all Students
  • 29/10/2021 – First Semester Lectures end for all Students
  • 01/11/2021 – 05/11/2021 – Revision (5 days)
  • 08/11/2021 – Examinations begin in Faculties of Education, Pharmacy, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and Engineering
  • 13/11/2021 – CED Examinations
  • 15/11/2021 – 27/11/2021 – Other Faculty Examinations (two weeks)
  • 29/11/2021 – 03/12/2021 – General Studies Examinations
  • 04/12/2021 – Students go on First Semester/Christmas Break
  • 13/12/2021 – 17/12/2021 – School/Faculties/Institute/Departments/Boards of Studies meet to consider 2020/2021 First Semester Results

SECOND SEMESTER

  • 02/01/2022 – Students return to Halls of Residence
  • 03/01/2022 – Second Semester Lectures begin
  • 04/03/2022 – Second Semester Ends
  • 07/03/2022 – 11/03/2022 – Revision (5 days)
  • 12/03/2022 – CED Examinations
  • 14/03/2022 – Examinations begin in Faculties of Education, Pharmacy, Physical Sciences, Life Sciences and Engineering
  • 21/03/2022 – 02/04/2022 – Other Faculty Examinations
  • 04/04/2022 – 08/04/2022 – General Studies Examinations
  • 09/04/2022 – Students go on, end of 2020/2021 Academic Session
  • 25/04/2022 – 29/05/2022 – Schools/Faculties/Institutes/Departments/Board of Studies meet to consider 2020/2021 Sessional Results
  • 09/05/2022 – 13/05/2022 – Business Committee of Senate meet to consider Results of LowerLevel and Penultimate year for 2020/2021 Academic Session
  • 16/05/2022 – 20/05/2022 – Senate meet to consider Sessional Results for final year for 2020/2021 Academic session.

Deadline on Registration and Payment of School Charges for 2020/2021 Session

  1. 06/09/2021 – 10/09/2021 – Late Registration and payment of School Charges with penalty fee of N10,000
  2. 13/09/2021 – 17/09/2021 – Final registration with penalty fee of N20,000.00
  3. 18/09/2021 – Registration Portal close for 2020/2021 Session

NOTE: Any student who fails to register at the close of the registration deadline will be deemed to have voluntarily withdrawn from the University.
