Following his reinstatement as Vice-Chancellor of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe has resumed office today. He appreciated President Muhammadu Buhari for insisting on due process in the administration of the institution.
While addressing workers from the foyer of the senate building of the school, Prof. Ogundipe attributed his return as VC of the institution as divine intervention. He added that he saw his three months recuse from office as a kind of sabbatical.

He further debunked the rumour that he had compiled a list of workers to punish or sack for not supporting him during his travails.
In his remarks, the Vice-Chancellor also had nice words for Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, the Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, the Executive Secretary of the National Universities Commission (NUC), Prof. Abubakar Rasheed, the Acting Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Folasade Ogunsola, all the staff unions in the school, among others.
