FUTO Undergraduate Registration Procedure for 2020/2021 Session
This is to inform all the newly admitted students of the Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) that the management of the institution has released the registration procedure for all new students for the 2020/2021 session.

Federal University of Technology, Owerri (FUTO) registration procedure for Undergraduate students in the 2020/2021 Academic Session is as follows;

STEP 1: ADMISSION STATUS
Recommended: FUTO Admission List
STEP 2: O’LEVEL VERIFICATION
After confirming your admission click on the link “verify O’Level details.”
Update your O’Level details by supplying your O’Level exam year, exam number, and O’Level result scratch card pin.
Note: (Candidates combining two results are required to supply two result scratch card pins based on the examination body).
STEP 3: PORTAL ACCOUNT VERIFICATION
Visit the University website —futo.edu.ng
Click on the link ‘FUTO Portal’
Click on “New student”, then from the drop-down menu, select ‘Login’ https://application.futo.edu.ng
Get account details with the JAMB Registration number as the default username and password.
Log in with your username and password
Click on “change your password” to change your password
STEP 4: PROFILE DETAILS
Click on fill profile details
Enter the required information on the field
Click on submit button to complete your profile details
Print the profile information slip.
STEP 5: PAYMENTS
Pay Development Levy
Login to the Portal portal.futo.edu.ng
Click on the link “FUTO Portal”
Click on “New student”, then from the drop-down menu select ‘Login https://application.futo.edu.ng
Then log in with your username and password.
Click on “Pay Development levy” to generate your payment invoice
Print your invoice and proceed to any bank to pay using your RRR code on the invoice.
Alternatively, you can make payment using the online payment options with credit/debit cards such as Verve, Visa, MasterCards.
After successful payment in the bank or online, return to the portal and print the FUTO admission letter, validity form, and Confirmation of admission form.
Wait for information on Screening of credentials (Date and venue will be communicated in due course).
Pay Fees
Login to the portal with your username and password
Click on “Pay Fees” to generate your payment invoice
Print your invoice and proceed to any bank for payment.
Alternatively, you can make payment using the online payment options with credit/debit cards such as Verve, Visa, MasterCards.
After successful payment in the bank, return to the portal portal.futo.edu.ng and login with your account details to print the FUTO school fees e-receipt with the RRR code on the invoice.

Click the “Pay Fees” menu
Enter the required payment details
Print the Fees eReceipt.
CLEARANCE/REGISTRATION OF FRESHMEN (DATE AND VENUE FOR REGISTRATION WILL BE COMMUNICATED IN DUE COURSE)
Proceed to the Admissions Unit for registration and collection of Green file with original and photocopies of the following documents:
Original JAMB Result slip printed directly from JAMB’s website
Duplicate of JAMB Admission Letter printed directly from JAMB’s website
FUTO PUTME screening Result Slip
O’Level Statement of Results
Confirmation of Admission form printed from FUTO Portal
FUTO admission Letter printed from FUTO Portal
Signed Acceptance Letter (Printed from FUTO website)
Birth Certificate
LGA Identification Letter
FUTO Fees eReceipt
Direct entry: A’Level Certificate, OND/HND/Degree statement of result (for Direct entry candidate only).
Validity Form with Passport Printed from FUTO Portal.
STEP 6. OTHER CLEARANCE
COLLECTION/SUBMISSION OF GREEN FILE.
Fill the forms in the Green File and proceed for submission in the department for further clearance.
Proceed to University Library and Health Services Center for registration and issuance of Library card and Health Clearance Certificate.
Registration at the Health Services and University Library.
(Note that the completion of registration in the Health Services and the University Library will be a requirement for the issuance of the e-ID card).
NOTE:
All admitted Direct Entry Students are required to inform their institution to forward their Academic Transcript to the Registrar, Federal University of Technology, Owerri. P.M.B. 1526.
University Admissions Officer uses the verified results/Certificates to authenticate the Admission Letter or assigns the candidate to another Department as the case may be.
After matriculation, the student proceeds to the admissions unit of the registry to sign the Matricula within one (1) week.
This Matricula from the admissions unit will serve as the input for the issuance of e-ID cards to Freshmen.
STEP 7: Pay for Hostel Allocation
Log in to your Portal account
Click on the hostel allocation menu
Click on “Generate Hostel reservation”
Select the Hostel type
Generate Hostel Allocation payment invoice
Proceed to FUTO MFB for payment with the generated payment invoice
After successful payment in the bank, return to the portal with the e-Pin generated in the bank.
Click on Print Hostel reservation receipt to print the allocated ROOM.
Print the allocated room on the receipt and proceed to the Student Affairs Unit for further clearance.
STEP 8: OTHER ONLINE ACTIVITIES

Log in to your Portal account
Click the course registration menu and select the Register Courses menu
Select the Session and Semester and click the Submit button
Select your Courses for that Semester and click the submit button.
Print the registered courses.
Online Result Checking
Click the Result menu and select the view result menu
Select the Semester and session and click the submit button
Print the online Semester result slip.

Students are once more reminded that payment of school fees is compulsory and this payment will give students access to:

Semester Examination
