In a press briefing to journalists in Dutse, Alhaji Alti said thirty-five professors applied and were shortlisted for interview and three best candidates emerged from which council chose Professor Abdulkarim Sabo Muhammed as the new VC.
The tenure of the incumbent VC, Professor Fatima Batul Muktar expires in February 2021.
