The Ekiti government has directed public and private schools in the state to resume the third term academic session on Wednesday.
Commissioner for Education, Science, and Technology, Bimpe Aderiye, issued the directive in a statement signed by the ministry’s spokesperson, Abimbola Dada, on Tuesday in Ado-Ekiti.
Mrs. Aderiye appealed to parents and guardians to put in place adequate arrangements that would facilitate the resumption of their children and wards without delay.
She said the appeal has become necessary for pupils and students not to miss out on the school activities, expected to commence immediately.
Mrs. Aderiye reiterated the government’s commitment to advancing the qualitative education regime in the state, adding that such success requires the collective efforts of stakeholders.
She noted that officials of the ministry would monitor the schools to ascertain the level of compliance.
