Awka inmate bags PGD and Masters degree

Jude Onwuzulike, an inmate at the Awka Correctional Centre in Anambra state, has received the certificates of Post Graduate Diploma and Masters of Science degrees in Information Technology from the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Awka Study Centre.

The certificates were presented to Onwuzulike on Tuesday, June 29, by the Registrar of NOUN, Mr Felix Edoka, who was represented by the Deputy Registrar (Academics), Oladipo Ajayi. He commended the inmate for achieving the feat despite being in prison.

Edoka further urged other prisoners to take advantage of the programme to become educated.
