Akwa Ibom State government has postponed the school resumption date for all students in the state.
The Honourable Commissioner for Education, Mrs. Enobong U. Mbobo wishes to inform Parents, Guardians, Education Stakeholders, and indeed the general public that the resumption of schools for the First Term 2020/2021 school year has been postponed.
The new date for resumption is 23 November 2020. This is to enable all examinations to be written and scores recorded as Endsars protest had disrupted academic activities and the school calendar.
By this notice, Parents are advised to use the period to prepare their wards for resumption or a new school year by buying books, uniforms, lockers, and general stationeries that will help them succeed. The new list of books for the Secondary School level has been approved by the Ministry and is available for collection at Room 389, Ministry of Education.
